Who I am: My name is Kim. I am a free-lance writer with over 30 years of experience in office management and administrative expertise. I specialize in handling customer service, training and writing for online businesses.

My mission: To keep our readers informed and to educate them on how to be diligent about their online and offline security.

My motto: Don’t become a victim!

If you’re like me, you use the Internet for almost everything. You may inadvertently be giving up your security by giving out too much information about yourself and/or your family. Think of it like this – if you wouldn’t let a stranger into your home, why let them into your computer? Do you walk out of your house and leave your front door open or unlocked? Probably not. Then why is your computer unprotected?

While we are talking about your online security, let’s not forget your offline security. Would you knowingly let a convicted sex offender in your home or near your children? Of course not! Do you want someone with a driving under the influence conviction transporting your children or elderly parents? No way!

My husband lovingly calls me “Mrs. Security.” He was my high school sweetheart and first love. Over 30 years and many circumstances separated us. I found him again on Classmates.com. After six weeks of daily emails and long distance phone calls, we arranged a meeting.

Do you know what I did? I ordered a thorough background search on him including checking his driving record, job history, any criminal or civil litigation, etc. Of course, he was squeaky clean and we were married about a year later. And yes, he knows about the background check and he’s proud of me.

I want you to have a happy and secure life like mine. Don’t be a victim!
