“Warning! Beware Of Reverse Cell Phone Search Scams!
I Can’t Believe The Hours I’ve Wasted On These So-Called & Search-By-Phone Programs……”

And if there is one thing I’ve learned it’s that you can’t always believe what companies claim on their sites. It’s ridiculous and I’m frustrated to be honest with you. That’s one of the reasons why I did this site. There are many reasons why people need to search public records by phone number.

For the Job…

can be incredibly beneficial for a company. For instance, I work from home and have to hire people occasionally. When you work from home it’s harder to make sure people are doing their job reliably because you can’t see them. So, by doing reverse phone searches I can check people’s public records–court records, criminal, financial, and personal records–we can see patterns in their pasts that will give us a better chance of finding more reliable new hires. If you are bringing people into your office then you definitely want to know what type of person you are bringing into your environment.

So, I’m A Cheapskate… ;)

I tried to do the Cheap/Free approach at first. It’s kind of funny actually to think of how much time I wasted. Well, not really!?! So picture this…here I am doing a reverse phone search on Google for this number that called me. Then, I think I found them. I click on the link and it’s another search box wanting me to search for the number all over again. So I do, and then they want me to purchase the record before I see anything. So, I keep looking and finally realize I’m not going to find zilch until I purchase one of these things. I went through about 10 of them before I finally found the data. Then, I start going through my list to get a refund. Do these companies even know what in the world customer service is????

And The Winner Is…(Drumroll please)

Anyway, that was a debacle and I learned the hard way. But, the site I found the data on was Net Detective. I was actually surprised because it was a fair price according to the other sites out there. I got UNLIMITED searches, plus background checks, address histories, and all sorts of stuff. Which, by the way, helps a lot because some of those guys charge you up front then want to charge you every time you search. Sheesh! One of the other things I thought was really cool with Net Detective was that they gave me a phone number to call if I had trouble. So, I couldn’t find this one number I was looking for info on and wanted to see if there was a better way. Rather than telling me the better way they actually looked up the record for me! Is that cool or what??

So, thanks for listening to me ramble on… Anyways, I hope you’ll find this helpful when it comes time to do some effective reverse phone records searches online.

      Hi Lauren:

Net Detective has a Reverse Cellular Phone Lookup feature. However, it will not tell you who has been using the phone.

      http://www.netdetective.net/

      Hope that helps.

      Warm regards,

      Kim

How do I find out if my husband has a e-mail account on his cell phone? Very high Sprint data bill.

      Hi Jody:

I hope this finds you well.

Net Detective allows you to do reverse phone number searches. Since you already know the number and who it belongs to, you need to contact Sprint for futher details.

      Warm regards,

      Kim

Is Net Detective pretty up to date with their results on people searches? For instance I used to use Public Data.com which was very limited search catagories but found property tax names, location, etc was pretty outdated. I even searched my own to verify.

      Hi JoyTexas,

Thank you for your interest in Net Detective! According to the type of data and source, it could be updated monthly or quarterly. For instance, our criminal records are updated monthly while other types of data may only be available from sources on a quarterly basis.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reply if you have any other questions or email me direct at support@hdpublishing.com.

I got a threat recently and have the number, but when I called the guy says its a new phone. Can I find out who has had the # recently?

        Hi Taryn:

I hope this finds you well.

If you received a threat, you need to report it to the police and the phone company. Phone numbers are not reissued for a few months after someone cancels their account. So if the person threatened you within the last month, the number would not yet be reissued to a new person.

Net Detective does have a reverse phone search feature:

        Hope this helps.

        Warm regards,

        Kim

what if you only have a phone number (that is unpublished) and you want to find out who this is that keeps calling and not leaving messages? Can you look people up other ways besides their name with net detective?

    • Belle says:

Beth, I get that question a lot. The answer is Yes, you can look up people by phone number and address. I use Net Detective for this all the time to figure out which marketing agencies are violating the Do Not Call list. Then I report them!!! Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hello Belle – I am normally not one to leave comments such as this. But I wanted to thank you for the help. I was able to find out that the woman of my dreams… so I thought… was actually married and living a “Double Life” in another state.! I easily searched her cell phone # inside Net Detective and it pulled up multiple records. I have used other tools but this one is the best. You saved me from making another terrble decision! All my best to your and your family!

Hi Belle. What exactly is a Reverse Cell Phone search and what can I find with one? Thanks in advance. ;) Angie

Angie, thanks for the comment. You have asked a very good question here. You would run a “reverse search” when you know the phone number (cell or land line) but don’t know anything else like whose number it is, etc. With just a number you should be able to determine that person’s (when available): address, name, age, marital status, criminal records (with the right tools), etc. So it can be quite powerful if you only have a phone number and the right tools. I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

If someone’s court record has been sealed, are you still able to know what crime they committed?

Yes. This is public information available to everyone. Net Detective Law Enforcement Edition will give you those details.
